strength from a work of art such as a song,

get through a difficult time. Explain how

or a dream of the person you know.

Introduction to Cambodia
Cambodia is a small country in
Southeast Asia

It has a generally
warm climate,
with a rainy
season and a dry
season.
Because there
are monsoons
that bring heavy
winds and rain,
rice is grown in
much of the land.

Mekong River
The Mekong River is an
important part of life in
Cambodia for many people
It is used for watering crops,
transportation, and fishing.
Fish are an important part of the
Cambodian diet.

which means it
Is based on real people and events
Gives facts about an event
Is written as a story and told in
chronological order

fled the violence in the
1970s later returned to
their homeland to help the
country rebuild and find
