Students will review and work on developing and analyzing visual images of
different quantities; using arrangements and decomposing numbers in multiple
ways; using numbers and addition to record/describe arrangements of objects,
and creating equivalent sets.
They will work and practice addition and subtraction.
Readers will learn how to read a book like it is a gift, letting the book show us
how it should be read.
Writers will revise and celebrate their hard work on writing.
Students will review and practice spelling and meaning of all sight words
learned.
They will blend two or three spoken syllables to say words.
Students will learn common spelling of vowel phonemes ai (e.g.: pail, snail,
rain, brain).

Year 1 students have only one snack per day. Please remember to supply a
healthy snack and water for your child.
School opens at 6:45 am. Lessons begin at 7:00. Students arriving after 7:20
need to get a late slip from the secretary. Dismissal is at 12:00 noon.
