YEAR 4 LEARNING NEIGHBOURHOOD


MUSEUM VISIT
Year 4 Learning Neighbourhood (Rooms 17, 18 and 19) Whanau
Our Integrated Inquiry concept for Term Two is THE GAME OF LIFE. Throughout this term we will be exploring
the different skills, strategies and attitudes involved in being a successful game player and how these skills transfer
to life.
To support our learning, and kick start our inquiry, the learners in the Year 4 Learning Neighbourhood (
ALL
learners in Rooms 17, 18 and 19
) will be visiting the Tairawhiti Museum on
Wednesday 6th May
. While there we will
participate in their games module which will allow our learners to look at games from the present and past, and
explore games from different cultures.
Each class will visit the museum during a different block. Our visits will be on the following date/time:

TIME:

Room 19 - 9.15-10.45 [Leaving school at 9.00am]


Room 17 - 11.00-12.30 [Leaving school at 10.50am]
Room 18 - 1-2.30 [Leaving school at 12.50pm]

We will be
transporting our learners by car
and would appreciate your support in this area. If you are available to
help with this, please complete the permission and transport slip be
low and return this to the appropriate classroom
teacher by,
Friday 1st May.
[Please note that the school accepts your offer of transport on the understanding that your vehicle is

currently registered and warranted, you have a current full drivers licence, and that all children will wear seatbelts.]

Also if you are available to remain at the museum and help supervise learners, please indicate this on the attached
form.
Transport arrangements will be confirmed by your childs classroom teacher on Monday 4th May.
