Original, Literal Illustrations for Figurative Language in Context

Now that you have found examples choose one example to illustrate literally, with the
actual meaning of the words. Try your very best on this. Each illustration should cover
one piece of computer paper. Fully cover the page with your drawing. Make sure to use
color and even color the background, there should be no white on the page. After you are
finished you are to scan the image into an electronic file in the library and send it to my
e-mail account. I will take the ten best and they will become part of your quiz. On the
quiz you will have the written quotes of ten various figures of speech and you will have
to match them to the images as I project them during the quiz. You will have to be able to
identify what type of figure of speech the examples are.
