    The following can be used by local governments to define a house as a half way house, a
    rooming house or a boarding house.

    Individuals are assigned a specific room or sleeping location.

    Fees are paid to an individual who does not live in the sober living house.

    Residents do not have any input to the policies or rules of the house,

    House operator or manager purchases, prepares and serves meals.

    The following can be used by the State Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs to define a
    house as providing licensable services.

    The house operator requires residents to attend an outpatient treatment program as a


    condition of their residency.

    The house operator requires residents to meet to discuss recovery progress.

    The house operator requires residents to meet to attend house meetings that involve rc.

    The following can be used by the State Department of Social Services to define a house as
    providing licensable services.

    Managing a residents medication.

    Managing a resident money.

    Transporting residents for medical, mental health or other personal services.
