The annual Spring Silent Auction will be held after the
school performance during the Spring Festival from 25pm. Come bid on some wonderful items for Kids,
Adults and Families!

Auction Rules & Procedures
1. Each item will have a number and a bid sheet. A brief description of the item will be on
each sheet along with approximate market value, listing the minimum bid and the
minimum raises

You must register ahead of time and only use your assigned bid number to bid

Please email Friends of Playa if you need to know your bidder #
3. To bid: Print your bidder number on the next available line on the bid sheet.
Write legibly. If we cannot read your bidder number, your bid will be disqualified and
the item will go to the next highest bidder.
4. When placing your bid, please note all restrictions and expiration dates on the items
you are bidding on.
5. Each person who bids must increase his or her bid by the minimum bid. If a bid
is not raised by the correct amount, it will be disqualified as a winning bid.
6. Buy it Now All items with a listed value may be immediately purchased for 150% of
its listed value. For example a $30 skirt may be immediately bought for $45. Priceless
items are not available for a Buy it Now price. Tell a Silent Auction volunteer you wish
to Buy it Now and they will remove the item from the table and collect your payment
immediately.
7. There are three categories of items for bid; bidding for each category will close at the
times listed below:
a. Kids 200s
-2:45
b. Parents 300s
-3:00
c. Family 400s
-3:15
8. Winning bids will be posted after winning bids are determined after each closing.
Winners will also be notified by email as well as a sign posted at school.
o Bidder does not have to be present to win
o You may pay for and receive your winning auction items on the day of the
auction
o There will be two opportunities to pay for and pick up your auction items at Playa
after the day of the festival:
a) May 11, Tuesday, 7:45-8:20 or b) May 11, Tuesday, 2:30-3:00
Items must be picked up and paid for by Friday May 15 or the item will go to the next
highest bidder.
