Upon,learning,of,the,professional,writing,minor,during,a,presentation,from,my,scholars,program,,
I,knew,it,was,a,path,I,needed,to,take,during,my,time,at,Ohio,State.,With,aspirations,to,become,a,
university,professor,and,researcher,in,psychology,,I,believe,in,this,minor,as,a,vessel,that,will,
propel,me,further,in,the,direction,of,success,by,providing,me,with,advanced,training,in,various,
writing,disciplines,,such,as,rhetorical,communication.,,

As,an,undergraduate,keen,on,embarking,on,academic,adventures,,I,signed,up,for,this,course,
because,I,enjoyed,community,service,,planned,to,enroll,in,a,serviceTlearning,seminar,before,
graduation,,and,needed,an,elective,for,the,professional,writing,minor.,Little,did,I,know,that,
English,4567s,would,prove,to,be,consistently,challenging,,conceptually,vivid,,and,intellectually,
refreshing.,It,was,a,place,where,I,learned,how,to,acknowledge,and,accept,individual,differences,,
connect,abstract,ideas,with,the,professional,world,,and,market,my,community,partner,in,ways,
that,used,purposeful,and,persuasive,prose.,,

During,time,spent,with,my,community,partner,,Greater,Ohio,Policy,Center,,I,further,developed,
my,use,of,rhetorical,skill,in,order,to,effectively,communicate,with,lawmakers,about,policy,
initiatives,and,amendments.,By,working,closely,with,Greater,Ohios,assistant,director,on,weekly,
writing,tasks,,I,gained,a,better,understanding,of,how,to,artfully,shape,research,and,fact,into,
compelling,,concise,,and,persuasive,packages.,On,a,broader,scale,,I,acquired,expertise,on,a,variety,
of,issues,concerning,the,need,for,sustainability,of,transportation,and,city,planning,in,Ohios,
metropolitan,areas,within,an,open,and,intellectual,nonprofit,organization,that,truly,affects,
change.,,

This,semester,,I,was,molded,into,a,more,compact,and,thoughtful,rhetor.,For,that,,I,am,forever,
