An educational professional is denying a student named Jake enrollment in their school due to his individual needs, which violates Jake's right to an education. No student should be rejected from school due to their needs or disabilities, as all children have a fundamental right to education according to both domestic and international law. Denying Jake enrollment goes against principles of inclusion, social justice, and children's right to quality education.

An Excerpt from EDFD221 Assignment 1 Semester 1, 2014:
Surely, being an educational professional, you are aware that all
children have the right to an education (Foreman, 2013 p. 73) and as such should never be denied this right regardless of whether they have additional needs, disability, impairment or otherwise. By rejecting Jakes enrolment you are denying him of his right to an education and to experience social inclusion in a school setting. No school should have the right to reject a student based on their individual issues and needs (National Safe Schools Framework, 2011). The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, Article 28 specifically states that each child has the right to a good quality education and should be encouraged to go to school to the highest level attainable. Jake should be able to have the opportunity to attend school and to be able to grow into a successful citizen
