TAMARA LOVELAND TALKS LITIGATION

The Successful Litigation Paralegal Shares her Career With ULV Students

La Verne, CA Tamara Loveland spoke about her successful career as a Litigation

Paralegal and the direction she has taken to further enhance that career on Wednesday
April 29, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in the Campus Center Ballroom. About 35 students attended
Lovelands discussion on how to be a successful Paralegal, and the struggles that every
Paralegal must go through during their career.
Loveland is a Litigation Paralegal with over 25 years of experience and holds a
Bachelors Degree in Business Management. She is a certified Paralegal, and has
worked on many high profile cases such as the Paul Walker wrongful death case,
Disney Concert Hall construction, Metro Red Line construction litigation and the Rock
Hudson Fear of Aids litigation. Loveland is currently Litigation Support Manager for
Burke, Williams & Sorenson, a law firm throughout its nine offices in the State of
California.
During her speech Loveland said, Once I stop learning, I become obsolete. The
reason I still have a job in this field is because I am constantly learning and constantly
networking to keep my name out there.
Lovelands speech revolved around always furthering ones education to get
ahead in a Paralegal career because the field is constantly evolving. She made it a
strong point in her speech that it is extremely important to keep up with the trends of the
law field.
Becoming a Paralegal is not something I could see myself going into, said Pre
Law Society President Cassie Holloway. But, Tamara gave me the motivation to
always chase a challenging career, even if it may seem hopeless.
