Important Reminders:
Each CoP will meet during inservice to discuss leadership roles and ideas and goals for the school year.
Each committee meeting should be used to plan for the period that occurs until the next meeting.
Each Community of Practice (CoP) must have a:
Captain: Manages the meetings and keeps the group on track between meetings. Team Captains must have at
least 2 years of experience at GCDC.
Secretary: Takes notes and ensures theya re summited to Syretha no later than two business days after the
meeting. Meeting notes must be in the official GCDC format.
Treasurer: Works with Marissa to ensure the CoP stays within budget.
Parliamentarian: Ensures meetings are orderly. Ensures the will of the majority is carried out and not that of
one or two people. Everyone must take an active role. This is included in everyones evaluation.
Each CoP may have other leadership roles as well. For example, the Work-Life Committee may have someone
responsible for buying birthday cakes for staff birthdays.
CoP planned activities must be during the duty day. Groups may not plan things before/after school events.
