Dear Jennifer Mehnert:
I am writing to you regarding the new job opening (job number 140013Q). Since
Garmin is a leader in the global positioning systems technology, it would be an
honor to work for such a great company and grow with it. Based on my
educational experience and qualifications, I would be a great fit for the position. I
have been married for three years and a mother two children. I have worked hard
on my degree, while still being able to raise my two beautiful children, which
enabled me to work harder and adapt to a busy life schedule. This shows by my
academic work, which I have earned a 3.8 GPA.
Thank you very much for taking the time to review my letter. I am looking
forward to hearing back from you in the near future; I have attached my resume to
this e-mail as well.
Sincerely,

Umalbnin Frelund

Garmin Tactix Watch

The Garmin Tactix GPS watch was developed for the Military in mind. As it is able to give you a
location in many different formatted coordinates.
It has many features that allow its use for military personnel in tactical contexts and for
adventurous types who like to roam outdoors. It has a rugged and robust casing that allows the
watch to survive in the most volatile climates and conditions. With a curved reflective scratch
resistant lens and a water resistant body the watch can withstand the elements.
If you are a diver the watch comes with a 50-meter underwater depth resistance and gives the
users location based on tide information. If you are a skydiver, the watch comes with a built in
altimeter that is programmed to give you High Altitude Low Opening (HALO) data, and a High
Altitude High Opening (HAHO) data mode. The watch can also be programmed to give you drop
zone data, as well as situational awareness data with the GPS.
For hunters the watch comes with a location-based dataset that gives the best times to hunt and
fish. If you like to know when the sun and moon are going to rise and set, the watch also gives
you location data on that too, and can be programmed to warn you, at a time desired, by its
internal vibrating warning signal.
The primary function of the watch is time and GPS feature. The watch comes with an ultra
sensitive GPS receiver that allows for users to get coordinates of their position even when in
subtle urban structures, or remote places around the planet. Users are able to select the primary
function button and can place waypoints, and track their path. If you select the scroll function
buttons located on the right side of the watch, users can find various instruments and tools.

Material Science Engineering: Female Struggles in a Male Dominated Job

Abstract(
Women were and, still are, miss represented in the Materials Science Engineering
(MSE) field. MSE is the study of new materials, which deals with the discovery and
design of new materials for use in a multitude of applications, ranging from rocketry to
body armor warn by military personnel. It is field of study that has only started relatively
recent in history and involves studying the structure that bonds elements together. This
paper will try to define women struggles in the MSE field and how women have evolved
into becoming a more dominant figure in science. The research done in this project has
been gathered first hand by a predominant female professor, in the MSE field, at Salt
Lake Community College and it will look at a brief history of events that have marked
great changes in womens roles as leading scientific researchers.
