To Whom It May Concern,
Tam writing to recommend Ms. Jillian Pratzner for a practicum placement at your agency. Asa
professor in the Somatic Counseling Psychology Master's program at Naropa University, I have
known Jillian since she began the program in the Fall of 2014, and have since had the pleasure of
having her as a student in my Counseling Relationship Skills class. | find her to be an intelligent
and dedicated student with a bright future as a counselor.
Jillian is a focused and professionally-minded student, She shows up on time, hands in her work
promptly, and cares about her learning. Her theorizing is very capable, and is mapped onto her
clinical skill-building in a direct way. She has also proven herself to be a contributive member of
her cohort, where she demonstrates support, appropriate challenge, and caring with her
peers. She accepts feedback well, and works to integrate suggestions into her continuing clinical
experiments,
Ihave observed Jillian to be a perceptive and skilled counselor during her in-class practice
sessions and exams. She listens well, reflects back accurately, and establishes a good therapeutic
relationship. Developmentally, she is on target to continue her skill-building and professional
icum, where she will have more opportunity to work with a deepening
empathic bond with clients.
I recommend Jillian without reservation for a practicum placement at your agency, as I know she
will make a good team member and an impactful clinician, Please feel free to contact me with
any further questions. I can be reached at 303.245.4770, or at Caldwell@naropa.edu
