Students have long-wanted a student-run
station on campus that caters to their
interests, said Larz G. Roberts, A-State
instructor in the Multimedia Journalism
Program. Its time has come, Roberts added.

The radio is meant for educational purposes,
but it also provides information on campus
updates and events schedule. Dr. Brad
Rawlins, dean of the College of Media and
Communication, said everyone is welcome to
be part of RWR regardless of experience.
Students broadcast scheduled programs,
news, and talk segments monitored by faculty.
RWR offers various music genres including
rock, pop, R&B, and hip-hop.
According to a recent survey, 90% of

A-State students listen to RWR on a

SmartCampus app.
There is a variety of things I like about the
new radio, said Jeffery Jones, a senior student
at A-State. I realize an effort put into the
station and enjoy every second, Jones added.
Everyone can listen to the radio worldwide via
www.redwolfradio.org or SmartCampus app
that can be downloaded on iOS and Android
devices.
