In the space below please provide overall comments regarding specific strengths and weaknesses related to the
performance of the student teacher. Feel free to attach another page if necessary.
Sara was an exceptional student teacher. She easily adapted to the grade-level change from her first placement.
She researched and planned SOL related lessons for all subject areas and assessed the students based on the
instruction she provided. She planned and managed the morning meeting to set the tone for the day and to
become familiar with the students as they shared information about themselves. She was very well prepared
for all of her lessons. She delivered instruction for both small and whole groups. She interacted well with the
students. She was very consistent with her expectations of student behavior and academic performance. She
attended a field trip, faculty and grade level meetings. She assisted with completing rating scales for the gifted
program and a student referral to the School Consultation Team for academic difficulties. She was trained on
using the online wizard to assist with the Phonological Awareness Language Screening (PALS). She observed
other teachers in other grade levels. She worked cooperatively with all faculty and staff members. She was
always willing to help and took the initiative to do so. She is extremely efficient and organized. She is very
prepared and qualified for the profession. She will be an asset to any school. It has been a pleasure working
with her!
