The purpose of this activity is to show students how volcanos
erupt and inform them on how this process occurs and that
volcanos are Earths inner core cooling vents
Standard: S5E1. Students will identify surface features of the

Step One:

Step Two: Stand the plastic bottle in the baking pan and mold
the dough around it; be sure to not cover the hole or drop
dough in it
Step Three: Fill the bottle most of the way with warm water and
add a little of red food coloring
Step Four: Add 6 drops of detergent to the bottle of contents
Step Five: Add 2 tablespoons of baking soda to the contents
Step Six: Slowly pour vinegar into the bottle and WATCH THE
VOLCANO ERRUPT!!!!!!
