Overview:
The Olympiad concert venue will aim to open on May 1, 2015 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The
Olympiad will provide a fun and exciting experience for concert goers in the area. The following
marketing plan will detail promotions, online, electronic media, radio, press, and product giveaways
designed to maximize attendance and long term potential. All inquires should be directed to Suzy
Cohen, Head of Marketing.
Phase I
Goals:
-Reach 5,000 likes on Facebook prior to opening
-Reach 5,000 followers on Twitter prior to opening
-Sell out first event
-Have physical advertising approved in local businesses in ten block radius
Key Points:
-Booking commercial artists for first three weeks and weekends three months prior to opening
-Website up and running for ticket sales prior to opening night
Target Dates:
-January1: Announce venue and location
-February 1: Social media sites open and running first artists advertisements
-March 1: Announcement of second batch of artists, then continuous stream as they are booked
-May 1: Opening night
Promotion Timelines:
-January: Initial announcements
-February: Artists announced and tickets go on sale,
-March: Promotion for second batch of artists starts, then continuous announcements as acts are
confirmed
-April: Radio promotions begin
-May: Promotion push as finally open
Online:
-Open merchandise web store on website prior to opening night for swag and ticketing opportunities
Electronic Media:
-Ads for the venue on artists' websites or social media
-Facebook advertising space for correct demographic

Radio:
-Preston & Steve on WMMR 93.3 perform ad during airtime
-Ten ticket giveaways for first three artists
-Prerecorded advertisements on WMMR 93.3, WXPN, 104.5, and WMGK
Press/Publicity:
-Submit to RockOnPhilly.com for review/advertisement

Consumer Promotions:
-First 15 people in the door on first night get in free
-First 20 people in the door receive 20% discounts on food and refreshments
-First 5 people in the door receive 10% discount at artist merchandise booth
