The student sees themselves in the middle of progressing in German class, being decent at writing but needing improvement on studying and speaking. To advance, they can study more for tests, communicate more in German in and out of class, and take better notes. The first three quarters introduced greetings, phrases, and verb conjugation. The student aims to hold basic conversations and apply their knowledge in talking and writing by year's end.

WHERE DO YOU SEE
YOURSELF?
I see myself near
the middle of the stairway. I think that I am pretty good at writing sentences but I definitely need to improve on studying and talking.
LOOK AGAIN ON THE GRAPH AND THINK ABOUT WHAT
CAN YOU DO TO GET TO THE NEXT STEP! I can study even more and make sure that I clearly understand the topic that the test is addressing and feel confident when taking the test I can try to communicate more using German in and out of class I can try to take more notes that will help me while studying
DESCRIBE THE FIRST THREE QUARTERS OF THIS SCHOOL
YEAR IN GERMAN CLASS! SUMMARIZE WHAT YOU HAVE LEARNED AND HOW YOU CAN USE THAT!
The first three quarters have been interesting.
Each quarter was very different in terms of how much we used previous knowledge to help us learn another topic in class. For example, in the first quarter we learned how to greet each other and basic phrases in the language. We alos learned how to conjugate verbs, one of the most important aspects of German while composing sentences. We use this every time we speak in German as well.
WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS FOR THE
REST OF THE SCHOOL YEAR?
My goals for the rest of the school year are to
learn how to have a basic conversation in German without struggling to understand or find words. I also want to be able to apply everything I have learned this year while talking and writing.
