Creating Tables
Part One: Zodiac Table

You must use your Zodiac reference sheet to help you with this assignment. It is attached
or you can find it in the Baylock Folder/6th Grade/Word folder under Zodiac.
There is an open ended question on the zodiac sheet that you must answer for instruction
#2. A table is a chart where you can get and keep information organized. We use table to
keep information organized. I have seen a table at home. It is a calender.

Instructions:
1. Keep your open-ended response at the top of your page. Change the line spacing to 1.5.
2. Leave two blank lines under your response and begin to follow the instructions below.
3. Create a table with 4 columns and 5 rows.
4. Your first row should be your headings. Your headings for this table should be:
First Name, Last Name, Birthday, Zodiac Sign
5. Bold your headings and make them size 14
6. Complete the next 4 rows with your own data. Remember to capitalize names!
Your data should not be bold and should be size 12 font.
7. Insert a row above your headings.
8. Merge the cells in this row. This will be your title row.
9. Give your table an appropriate title. Bold it and make it size 16.
10. Add a picture from the Internet to your document. Be sure to cite, caption, and group it.
11. Check Print Preview to see how your final document looks.
12. When satisfied, save as Zodiac Table in your Computer Class folder.
13. Print to laser printer.
