The Middle School network infrastructure needs to
be completely rebuilt from the ground up. This
includes all cabling throughout the building,
replacing switches, use of fiber connections to
provide the best possible speed and accommodate

High/Middle School-Business Class Wireless
In order to accommodate any digital initiative, the
WiFi network capacity at the schools needs to be
increased. The quote is for the installation of a
business class WiFi network to service the Middle
School, High School and COFFEE. Existing
equipment will be re-purposed to service the
elementary schools, dramatically increasing the
coverage at those two schools. This project may
be offset with E-Rate funding as available in the
range of 50% of the project. This E-Rate funding
may be available as early as FY16, but is expected
to be available for FY17.

Middle School Replacement Computers for

The Middle School has updated its Curriculum that
will be offered and will be incorporating Computer
classes in the Middle School as aggressively as
possible to improve the ability of all Middle School
students who will be taking standardized testing
electronically in the very near future.

The desktop computers requested for OHS are to
replace outdated and obsolete computers specific
to the lab used to teach Computer Animated
Design (CAD) and other architecture and
engineering-related courses.

engaging, hands-on instruction in Science,

texts or techbooks become an increasingly more
attractive option, OHS plans to introduce the use
of digital content beginning in the US History
course. Digital textbooks will be accessed using
Chromebooks at school. The same History content
can also be accessed at home or anywhere else
with WiFi access.
