Home Away
from Home

Program
Provide services for children with special needs.
One-on-one therapy, group therapy, crafts,
swimming, horse back riding, guest speakers,
educational groups, fieldtrips, dance, music
therapy, camp fires, talent show, minute to win
it, and movies outside.
Create atmosphere that fosters encouraging
self-reliance, independence, social interaction,
communication, and self-esteem.

Mission
To foster a safe and judgment free atmosphere for
individuals to understand their potential while enriching
the lives of children and their families.

Goals and Objectives


To promote exploration of leisure skills for children within
their functional limits.
To improve occupational skills (ADLs, IADLs, Play, Leisure,
Social Participation, and Education) through experiences that
will increase their independence in the community and build
positive self-esteem.

To encourage participation in separate and inclusive


workshops with family.

Marketing Strategies
Target audience: Individuals ages 6-21 with special needs and their
parents, all the local OTs, all local special education teachers
Marketing strategies: Surveys, social media, flyers, billboards

Timeline: Start spreading the word January about the camp, applications
due March 15th, payment due April 30th.
People to perform marketing activities: Camp counselors, volunteers, and
camp director will do marketing through camp apparel, their personal
social media pages, and word of mouth.
Promoting services: Through social media, flyers, billboards
