My career objective is to obtain a teachers aide/assistant position in a

preschool or infant classroom. I am aiming to work with infants to expand my
practice, but I am most experienced with preschoolers and toddlers. I have proven
the ability to lead and aide a daycare of seven or more four to five year olds with
the assistance of 3 others. I have also been assisting 2 teachers in a class of 21
preschoolers. In addition I have three years knowledge of child development and
growth. While taking these classes I have demonstrated the ability to identify
childrens needs and have proven the ability to work with children with special
needs.
I am currently a senior graduating in May, 2015 at Parkdale high school.
There I have participated in Child Development 1 and the Parkdale high school
preschool, where students participated in leading and planning lesson plans for
three to four year olds. Then I took Child Development 2, also at Parkdale High
school, where students learned many skills on forming lesson plans and analyzing
INTASC standards. As part of our learning experience I volunteered every other day
for an hour as a teachers assistant in a first grade class.
I have paid work experience at Six Flags America as a Hostess of 2 years. I
am currently a volunteer at heritage Early Learning Center as a teachers assistant
in a preschool class along with one and two year old classrooms. I have participate
in ongoing childrens liturgy of the word at Saint Michels The Arc Angel Catholic
Church as a volunteer teachers assistant for several years.
At heritage Early Learning center I have lead many dance classes that were
curriculum based for preschoolers to infants. Dance and cheer are my passions and
I love to teach through creative arts, dance, and movement. I have been a member
of the Varsity Parkdale Cheer Elite team from 2012-2014. I served as co-captain
from 2013-2014 and a captain as of 2014-2015. I also am a member of the Junior
Redskins Cheerleading program in my tenth year.
Over the courses of my high school classes I have obtained a CPR, AED, and
Basic First Aid Certificate and also a 90 Clock Hour Certification of approved training

for Senior Staff in Preschool Centers under the state of Maryland Child Care Center
regulations. I am a safe, patient, energetic, dependable, trust worthy employee. I
hope for an opportunity to share my skills with your center and am looking forward
to being in contact with you.
