To Whom It May Concern:

I first became acquainted with Danielle Calderon at the beginning of the 2012-2013 school
year when she was enrolled as a student in one of my sophomore English classes. Danielle stood
out in class because of her enthusiasm, her pleasant personality, and her focus.
Throughout her time in my class, Dani was a model student. She always came to class on time,
prepared, and ready to work. She was rarely absent, and when she did miss a day, she always
asked for and completed makeup work in a timely fashion. I could always count on Dani to
respond to questions and to ask questions when a topic or a direction was unclear.
During her years at Merced High School, Dani has been an active participant in the schools
marching band and concert band for all four years and the jazz band during her junior and
senior years. Also, during her senior year, she has been a member of both Future Business
Leaders of America and Key Club, both of which are involved in community service activities.
Dani is a very organized and motivated young woman, and those skills have helped her to
earn a 3.09 grade point average in addition to participating in her extracurricular activities.
When Dani asked to be my teachers assistant for the 2014-2015 school year, I readily agreed
and have never regretted my decision. Dani is efficient and dependable. She is rarely absent and
is always prepared to work. I rarely have to explain my directions to her, and if she does have a
question about a task, she is not afraid to ask. She makes a point of inquiring whether I have
anything for her to do, and if I do not have any tasks for her to complete, she always uses her
time wisely and completes homework from other classes, reads, or draws.
In conclusion, Danis enthusiasm, positive attitude, and ability to focus on completing a task will
contribute to her success in her future endeavors.
