Foreword
The OptiX RTN 600 radio transmission
system is a type of short-haul digital
microwave transmission system developed
by Huawei. The system supports a
maximum transmission capacity of 1xSTM1 over one microwave carrier. The OptiX
RTN 600 adopts a split-mount structure
and a PDH/SDH integrated microwave
transmission platform. It can be used to
provide backhaul in mobile communication
networks or private networks, or to
compose transmission networks together
with optical transmission equipment.

Checking the SRV Indicator

The SRV indicator deserves the most attention, because it
indicates whether any fault has occurred to the current services.
When the SRV indicator is lit red or yellow, you need to check
whether the services are really affected.

ON

The services are normal.

ON

Critical alarms or major alarms are

generated in the services.

ON

Minor alarms or remote alarms are

generated in the services.

OFF

No services are configured.

Checking the BER Indicator

The BER indicator indicates the bit error conditions on

the current microwave link.

When bit errors occur on the link, query the actual

receiving power of the ODU by using the Web LCT, to

exclude the influence of weather and climate.

ON

Microwave bit errors have exceeded the

threshold.

OFF

Microwave bit errors have not exceeded

the threshold.

Cleaning the Air Filter

Clean the air filter once every two months.

Cleaning the air filter is necessary only for the IDU 620
that is configured with fans.

If installed in a dust-proof outdoor cabinet, the IDU 620 is

equipped with no air filter. There is no need to clean the
air filter.
