LETS RECAP WHAT WEVE

DONE

Through School Stat, we identified our

students with multiple risk indicators.
The 3 indicators we are focusing on are
Academic (AIMSWeb scores for Math &
Lang. Arts), Attendance, and Behavior.
Students are considered At Risk if they
are at risk on at least 2 of the 3
indicators.

HOW MANY STUDENTS ARE WE

TALKING????
15 6th graders
20 7th graders
27 8th graders
Yep, thats only 62 students in our
entire building that are at risk in 2
or more of the targeted indicators.

AT FEBRUARY IN-SERVICE, WE BEGAN

SOME VERY IMPORTANT WORK
We worked as grade level teams with support
from Explo teachers to answer 4 questions.
1. What motivates this student academically
and/or behaviorally?
2. What interventions have been implemented
with this student that work?
3. What might we try with this student moving
forward?
4. What does it look like when this student shows
success?

WHATS NEXT????
Lights,
Camera,
ACTION!!!
!!

WHAT CAN WE DO TO HELP THESE

STUDENTS TO BE SUCCESSFUL MORE
OFTEN????

Focus on the 3rd question: What might we

try with this student moving forward?
Come up with at least 2 or 3 strategies or
things you will commit to trying with
this student.
As grade level teams, keep these
students on your team agenda often
and discuss progress.
