    Throughoutmy4yearsatMercedHigh,IbelieveIhaverepresentedmyselfwell,inboth

    myacademicsandmyattendance.Iamaverymotivatedandambitiousstudent,andthatis
    showninmygrades.Overall,ItakeprideinwhatIveaccomplishedinhighschool.
    Freshmanyearwasalittlescarytobeginwith,Iwasdefinitelynotusedtotheteaching
    stylesandbiggerclassrooms.IwasinBiology,PreAPEnglish,andGeometry(theseweremy
    mainclasses)andthiswaswhenIrealizedwheremystrengthswere.EnglishandBiologyare
    whereIexcelled,whileIstruggledmoreinGeometry.Mathisreallynotmything.Ipassedall
    myclasseswithBsorbetterandmyattendancewasprobablythebestoutofallmyyearsof
    highschool.
    Nowskipforwardtothisyear,mysenioryear.Thingsaremuchdifferentnowthanthey
    were3yearsago.Iamstillagoodstudent,thoughIdoslackoffalittlemorethanIusedto,a
    littlemorethanIshouldtobequitehonest.Ialsohavegottenintothebadhabitofnotgoingto
    schooleveryday.Myabsencesthisyeararesomuchmorethanofanyofmyyearspast.ButI
    dontthinkthatreallyaffectsmygrades.TheclassIdothebestinisstillAPEnglish,andthe
    classIstrugglemostinisstillmymathclassStatistics.FirstsemesterIgotallAsandBs,but
    thislastsemesteriswhatreallymattersandunfortunatelyiswhenImstruggling.IhaveaC
    rightnowinStatsanditsscaringme!Myuniversityacceptanceisconditionalonmepassing
    everyclasssothestressisreallyreal.
    Ifsomeonedidntknowmeandcouldonlymakeanassumptionbasedonmygradesand
    attendance,IwouldliketothinktheywouldsayIwasacapableandproficientstudent.And
    thoughmygradeswerenttheabsolutebest,Itookclassesthatweremorechallengingthan

    expectedofme,liketheAPclasses.Myattendancebacksthisupaswell,exceptthisyearasI
    mentionedbefore.
