Transcript Reflection
My four-year transcript is something that I believe does not clearly represent my
capabilities because I believe I can obtain a higher cumulative GPA. I was never extremely
consistent with my grades throughout high school and during sophomore and junior year, I had
lost all motivation for school and I had began being satisfied with Cs. I had lost sight of the path
that I had wanted to go down on, the bright path that was supposed to be me maintaining at least
a 3.5 GPA unweighted each semester, but I had failed myself. I am very capable of being a better
student than what my transcript shows, and it wasnt until senior year when I was applying to
colleges that I had realized that I needed to pull myself together and at least finish strong.
I am most proud of my senior year grades because I maintained a 3.8 GPA and finally had
achieved my goal of getting an A in an AP class. I am most disappointed in my sophomore and
junior year grades because they were average. Those grades make me look unintelligent and lazy,
as if I dont care. If I could retake any courses it would most likely be sophomore English (2nd
semester) and Algebra 2, those classes werent challenging, I just had completely given up and I
didnt believe in putting in a lot of effort anymore. I definitely think I would have gotten a higher
grade because I would have known what to expect and I would definitely have a different
mindset than what I did. I believe my attendance record shows that I care about my education
because the only times I missed school were when I was extremely sick.
