REPAIR
This program introduces the student to the tools used and
elementary repairs completed in the collision repair
industry. This includes an introduction to the refinishing
process that forms the basis for all automotive refinishing
work. Surface preparation, material selection, and the use
of hand and power tools, including automotive spray guns
will be covered. Refinishing, spot repairs and color
matching with a variety of refinish materials will be
stressed. Defect analysis causes and cures will also be
covered. If college level work is attained, student may
earn up to 14 LCC credits.
