Reading: This week students are moving through several books and
need framework for ways to think about all of the information they are
accumulating. Teaching them to compare and contrast gives them
another way to think about what they are reading and encourages
them to linger over books as well as talk longer about the topic with
their reading groups. They will compare and contrast information from
the books.

Math: Measurement: We will continue the Fractions Unit. Partition

shares using the words halves, fourths, and quarters, and use the phrases
half of, fourth of, and quarter of.
Science: Science Test about Organisms and Plant observation . New
Unit. Fun with food groups. Students will learn to make healthy food
choices.
