Overview

Group work and learning how to all memorize and place


items into order. Having to exercise the use of leadership
within a group setting among peers.

Objective

To memorize and learn the meaning of the FFA Creed in


which many class lectures will be incorporating.

Materials
Activities and
procedures

Yellow and blue paper squares.


Markers
Assigned paragraph of the creed

Break class into five groups and assign each group a


paragraph from the FFA Creed. First class period of
assignment students are to decorate their paper square
with the paragraph given to that group in class. They are
sent home with a copy of the creed and expected to be able
to recite their paragraph as a whole and then to line the
squares up in the front of the class in the correct order. The
groups leader will be blind folded and that group will have
to guide them with words to the correct number that their
square fits in. Then each person is to be graded on their
reciting of the entire five paragraphs on the creed in
correct order.

Conclusions

This exercise will help break this ice with students as well
as give them a chance to exhibit their leadership and
creativity skills.

Extra credit

There will be an extra credit opportunity for those who can


give a 2 minute speech on what the creed means to them at
the beginning of class prior to beginning day two of the

activity.
