health organization Ebola
is...

A severe illness, often fatal in


humans.

First came out in central Africa in


1976, but the most recent
outbreak is now in west Africa.
Its fatality rate is about 50%.
Case fatality have varied from
25%-90%(that means a 10%
chance to live if you get it).

Causes..
The world health organization state the causes for
Ebola are...
One of the major causes for Ebola spreading quickly is the uneducated
people that lives in a third world country.
Another reason is obviously, physical contact or bodily fluids being pass
on to one human to another.
Next is bushmeat, where the meat has not been approved by the F.D.A.
Lastly, are Bats, monkeys, or other animals that cant die from the
disease, but are the carriers.(september 2014)

Fever fatigue
Muscle pain
Headache
Sore throat

Vomiting
diarrhoea
Rash
Impaired kidneys and liver
In some cases, both internal and
external bleeding.

Treatme
There is yet no proven
treatment or vaccine for
Ebola.
The best doctors can do is
destroy the infected cells.
Basically, Ebola has no
cure, but researchers are
working very hard on it.

Social and Econ
-Ebola isnt just a health crisis, its a social and economic one
too.This disease threatens to unleash a catastrophe in west Africa
that could send an entire generation into poverty. Basically, the
government has already lost revenue. For example, it stopped
trade and tourism for Africa. No one wants to trade or visit the
country because of safety hazards. (thegurdian.com 2014)

Nigeria - 20 cases, 8 deaths
Sierra Leone - 3410 cases, 1200 deaths
United States - 3 cases, 1 death
The most recent case was on
October 8, where Thomas Eric
Duncan died of Ebola in Dallas,
Texas. (October 2014)
