ABSTRACT
Together the group worked to construct a soccer goal that was sturdy, cost effective, and
equipped with sensors to detect the ball and a light that blinks for at least ten seconds when a goal
is scored while not blinking when the goalie enters. The purpose of making the goal was to build,
customize, and distribute it to a local soccer field. The group successfully assembled the goal and
configured the sensors adequately.

THE GOAL OF THIS PROJECT IS TO CREATE AND DESIGN A

FOR 10 SECONDS WHEN A BALL ENTERS. IT WILL ALSO
HAVE TO BE ABLE TO DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN THE
BALL AND THE GOALIE..

SCORED.THE PRODUCT MUST BE MADE AS INEXPENSIVE
AS POSSIBLE WITHOUT COMPROMISING PERFORMANCE.

RESULTS AND CONCLUSIONS

The group effectively handled the tasks given, although there was much difficulty during the process. Many
errors in programming, configuring the line follower sensors to detect the ball, and some issues with
putting together the soccer goal were troublesome. This project could allow for future development of
smarter soccer goals and lead to more innovative designs. The overall outcome of the project fulfilled the
proposal and our group gained a better understanding of how line follower sensors work, teamwork, and
programming in general.
