Writing is the area I believe I have improved in the most over the course of the school year. With all the writing pieces weve done this year; GE Essay, R&J timed writing, Short Story, PARCC Practice, etc., Ive gotten a huge amount of practice with all types of writing. These include argumentative, narrative and informative. I believe that Ive improved most in argumentative writing. In both timed writings Ive been able to make solid points and back them with strong textual evidence. I believe that I deserve an A because I have met the goals that I set at the beginning of the semester and year and exceeded them. At this point in the year I can say that every piece of writing I do in class is something that I am proud of. Goals: My weakest area of writing at this point is narrative writing. I have trouble making the audience connect with the characters and making imaginary scenarios seem real. We have worked on this a little this year and I have definitely improved but next year I hope to make even bigger strides towards mastering this area.
