$ A less experienced radiologists yearly
salary is usually around 150- 250k
$ With more experience the pay will rise
to about 300-500k depending on you
level of expertise
$ In 2012 the average salary was about
375k ($180 an hour)
$ In 2013 highest paying region included

Required Courses

The following are for bachelors degree:

Organic & Inorganic Chemistry, General


biology, physics, English and Calculus
In med School you learn basic medical
school curriculum, such as math, science,
medical ethics, etc. The last two years are
working hands on in hospitals and clinics. Once
you choose what you are going to specialize in
you go into residency work (4 more years)

Job Description
Radiologists are physicians who use cutting-edge imaging
technology to examine organs and tissues inside the body in
gentle, noninvasive ways
They work behind the scenes analyzing studies, making
diagnoses and consulting with physicians
Being behind the scenes makes them use tons of technology
and not have as much patient work as some may desire
Work 5 days a week and put in from 40-50 hours.
Will be on Call

expanding and advancing fields in medicine

Within this field Interventional Radiology (IR) is the


fastest growing area

Newly certified radiologists have plenty of job


openings from which to choose.

There is currently a shortage of these specialists in


the United States

Residency programs are not graduating enough
