WE RECOGNIZE

that all members of the LGBTQ community are people who

contribute to society. That they consist of our family members, friends,
and community members who should have the same rights as all other
people.

WE AFFIRM AS CENTRAL
the need to respect the LGBTQ community to ensure their deserved
safety, freedom, equality, and happiness. We recognize that people
have different opinions, but that there is a need to respect all sexual
orientations.

WE HAVE PARTICULAR CONERNS

for the LGBTQ people who are treated unfairly and are discriminated
against solely based on their sexuality. Equal opportunities should be a
priority for our society.

WE DEPLORE
hate crimes, homelessness, derogatory sexualized terms and
discrimination against our LGBTQ community; along with, self inflicted
harm, harassment, and bullying.

WE PARTICULARLY GRIEVE
the ongoing hiding, depression, fear, and anxiety placed upon the
LGBTQ people whom do not feel safe expressing their sexuality. We
make a renewed call for these community members to have the
significant freedom of sexual expression.

WE THERFORE CALL
on our government to pass gay rights and anti-discrimination laws,
and allow marriage amongst homosexuals in all states. We call on our
communities to stop using derogatory sexualized terms, to spread

awareness of the harm that discrimination causes for LGBTQ people,

and to stand up for all sexualities and gender identities.
