Bosnia seeks review of design to refurbish, expand 9.

4-MW Una Kostela hydro project

UTILITY ELEKTROPRIVREDA OF BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA
Utility Elektroprivreda of Bosnia and Herzegovina invites expressions of interest from consultants to
perform preliminary design to refurbish the 9.4-MW Una Kostela hydro project and to construct the
6.4-MW Una Kostela Annex in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Responses are due July 12.
Elektroprivreda previously announced it plans to seek bids to build the 20-MW Vranduk project on the
Bosna River, refurbish Una Kostela, and construct Una Kostela Annex on the Una River. The European
Bank for Reconstruction and Development said in March it approved a US$46.4 million loan for the
projects. Elektroprivreda recruited consultants in April to assist project preparation and management of
Vranduk.
The utility now invites expressions of interest from consultants to prepare preliminary design for Una
Kostela reconstruction and expansion, which includes reconstruction of the existing hydro plant and the
threshold in the bed of the river, and preliminary design of the Annex plant. The budget for the work is
750,000 euros (US$990,000).
Expressions of interest in English are due to the address below by July 12. Responses are to be labeled
"Expression of Interest for HPP Una Kostela Project: Consultancy Services."
