Potential Energy
The Energy possessed by a body as a result of its
position or condition rather than its motion.

Kinetic Energy
Energy that a body possesses by virtue of
being in motion.

Chemical Energy
Chemical Energyis energystored in the bonds
ofchemical compounds. It is released in
achemicalreaction, often producing heat as a by
product.

Thermal Energy

Thermal energy is the internal energy of an object

due to the kinetic energy of its atoms and/or
molecules. The atoms and/or molecules of a hotter
object have greater kinetic energy than those of a
colder one.
