History

Founded on April 1, 1909.

It was founded by Dr. Robert L. Potts.
It was first created as one of the four Arkansas high schools to teach
agriculture, horticulture, and the art of textile manufacturing.
Victor C. Kays of Illinois was recruited as the first principal.
