GUIDELINES FOR THE ISSUE OF THE CERTIFICATE SHOWING SCHOOL STUDIES IN A


BACKWARD DISTRICT OF KERALA FROM STANDARD VIII BY THE HEAD(S) OF THE
EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS
1. A Certificate showing school studies in the particular backward district in Kerala from standards VIII to X
issued by the head of educational Institutions of that district is prescribed as one of the certificates to prove
the eligibility regarding the claim for reservation for backward district.
2. The certificate is to be issued by the heads of the Institutions (Schools) where the applicant has completed
his/her studies in standard VIII, IX and X.
3. The Head of the school (last attended by the candidate) may rely on the school records/certificates for this
purpose making sure that the candidate has undergone his/her studies in that district itself in all the classes
from standards VIII to X. In case of doubt, the Head of the schools may direct the candidate to obtain
necessary proof of the same from the schools attended formerly.
