1. Course description
The course covers basic concepts of river and river morphology, and introduce
about river training and methods of river training works. Furthermore this course
studies about different type of seepage analysis theory and diversion structure
design methodology.
2. Objectives of the course
The objectives of the course can be summarized as follows:
Understand what meant by river morphology
Studies about different methods of river training works
Visualize basic concept of diversion structure and design method

Learn seepage analysis theory

3. Methodology
To fulfil the objectives of the course the following methodologies are going to be
implemented:
i.) Lectures
The lectures will provide theoretical and practical understanding of the subject
matter.
ii.) Assignments
At least three Assignments are expected to be hand in for this course as well as
reading assignment will be given in the mean time.
iii.)
Tutorials
Examples will be done to understand the applicability of the theory will take
place in the tutorial session.
