LAW NO.

(6) OF 2012 WITH RESPECT TO AMENDING PARAGRAPH (D) OF SECTION

NO.(2) OF ARTICLE (2) OF LEGISLATIVE DECREE NO.(28) OF 2002 WITH RESPECT TO
ELECTRONIC TRANSACTIONS
We,

Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa,

King of the Kingdom of Bahrain,

Having reviewed the Constitution,

And Legislative Decree No.(28) of 2002 with respect to Electronic Transactions e-transactions, as
amended by Law No.(13) of 2006,
And the Law of the Central Bank of Bahrain and Financial Institutions promulgated by Law No.(64) of
2006,
The Consultative Council and the Council of Deputies ratified the following Law which we approved and
enacted:
Article 1
The following provision of Paragraph (D) of Section (2) of Article (2) of Legislative Decree No.(28) of
2002 with respect to e-transactions shall be substituted.
(d)

Negotiable bonds with the exception of the cheque clearing and settlement system.

Article 2
The Prime Minister and the Ministers- each in their respective capacity- shall implement this Law which
shall come into force from the day following the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
