To Whom It May Concern: It is my pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for Melanie Ayers. I have known Melanie for just over two years as director of the Merced High School Band. During that time she has attended every practice and required performance. Not only is she a part of the Marching Band, but she also participates in our Symphonic Band, Jazz Ensemble, and is a member of the Band Council. Melanie is one of the few students I can count on to always be present and eager to learn. She is a perfect role model for other band members and as such she has been selected a section leader. When members of her section need help, Melanie is always there for them. One of Melanies priorities is to be active in the community; an example of this is volunteer work at Merced Marching 100 Bingo. Melanie also holds herself to very high standards. Melanies determination and commitment to excellence academically and musically are great examples of why Melanie will succeed at whatever she chooses to do. If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to give me a call.
Sincerely,
Jonathan L. Schmid Director of Bands Merced High School
