In our literacy, we will be covering the following:

Math
Weekly Overview
In Math, we will be covering the following:
PROJECT 7 WEAVING - To provide tactile and visual experiences that promote patterning, hand-eye
coordination, and directionality.
8.1 Ones, Tens, Hundreds Game - To deepen childrens understanding of place value through an
exchange game.
8.2 How Long Is an Hour? - To develop childrens sense of the duration of an hour.
8.3 The Hour-Hand Clock - To introduce the analog clock, focusing on the hour hand.
Homework:
LITERACY: Practice concert song and dialogue.
MATH: How long is an Hour?
UOI: Practice concert song and dialogue.
The KG2 Concert will be Thursday, June 4th. The students have begun practicing the
songs we will sing. We will send home the songs and any speaking parts that your child
may have. Not all children have volunteered to speak in the concert but all children
will participate in singing and dancing.
Please be sure to pay for the graduation gown and gift. Graduation has been moved
to Thursday, June 11th. Pod C will graduate at 8:30am and Pod D will graduate at
10:30am.
Please ensure your child is completing home activities including the added Story
Book and that all work is returned, completed to the teacher the following Sunday.
The teacher will change the Oxford RT story every Tuesday.
Please remember to send in enough food for both snack and lunch time if you do not
pay for school lunches. Please also ensure your child has a water bottle every day.
