high interest in this one!
Janet called and her communications chief shared some materials before 2, so I got the
word out to commissioners not long after it went live at==::::..::..
I prefer not cutting it so close, especially on a topic so many states will care about (for a
variety of reasons), but also know you all are swamped and that this issue hasn't been
high on the listed agenda for the ECOS air committee.
Let's talk about how I can work more effectively with you and your folks so we get the
word out, as appropriate, on these important issues that haven't, for whatever reason,
been on the short list of things we discuss. I made the same request to Janet, knowing
the commissioners really appreciate getting an advance heads-up on topics they may
hear about from governors, other secretaries, legislators, and stakeholders.

Dear Jane, Betsy, Tom and Mark,

Given the interest in the 2014 RFS proposal, can you please have your folks contact me if
there's anything we can share with the commissioners prior to, or in concert with, EP A's
announcement?

All states are fuel consumers and many are producers or hope to be, so they're likely to get
inquiries on the proposal from governors, legislators, other agencies, and stakeholders.
