The Honorable Gina McCarthy

Administrator
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
1200 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W.
Washington, D.C. 20460
Dear Administrator McCarthy:
Members of the Advanced Biofuels Association (ABFA) will be in Washington April 8-9, 2014
to attend the ABF A's Spring Board Meeting. The CEOs and executives would welcome an
opportunity to meet with you on Wednesday, April 9th to discuss the state of our industry and,
more importantly, EPA's implementation of the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS).
The ABF A is a national organization representing the new generation of advanced and
renewable technologies that will help drive America's new economy by creating jobs, reducing
our dependence on foreign oil and fossil fuels while fueling a sustainable future for the world.
The ABF A has quickly become a leading voice for America's domestic biofuels industry since it
was established in 2009. Our members are developing and commercializing a wide range of
technologies, feedstocks, and molecules to produce renewable, lower carbon fuels that will move
our nation closer to achieving energy and economic security. Using feedstocks, forest trimmings,
animal fats and algae, our members are employing a variety of advanced technologies.
Our industry executives would specifically like to discuss RFS volumetric obligations, the
pathway review process, issues related to intermediary feedstocks, and the proposed Quality
Assurance Program.
Please contact my policy associate Stephen Bolotin at 202-469-5104 or
to arrange a meeting. Thank you for your attention to this request.

Sincerely,

Michael McAdams
President
Advanced Biofuels Association
