As you are aware, London Underground intends to operate a Night Tube service on
Friday and Saturday nights with effect from 12 September 2015.
In order to implement Night Tube it will be necessary to make certain changes to the
operation of the business which in some areas affects employees rosters. The
purpose of this letter therefore is to inform you that, in accordance with the terms of
our existing collective agreements, management will be commencing local
consultation in the relevant areas with a view to implementing revised rosters.
The proposal is to add the additional night duties into the existing rosters while
London Underground jointly implements the long term solution with the trade unions
over the next year. However, as required by our collective agreements, the detail of
the proposals will be discussed locally in the first instance.
