Families who send their children to private schools should not be required to pay taxes

that support the state education system.

To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
Today, a rapid rise is observed in the number of parents who prefer private schools for their
childrens education. In this context some people state that such families should be excluded
from the tax, which contributes to the government education system. To me, there is no
substance in this statement.
The primary reason for my disagreement is based on the fact that the laws should be equal to
all. Let me explain further. As citizens of a country all people have equal onus to follow the
rules and regulations of their society. So, an exclusion of tax may not be allowed based on the
difference in their childrens educational institutions.
Besides this, the selection of schools is purely depends on the parents and childrens interest.
If the parents of the children who pursue a private education are eliminated from the
education tax the contribution to the government educational institutions become very less.
This may prevent the government efforts to improve the quality standards of its educational
system. Hence, I think, tax for education should be collected from all people of the society.
Finally, omission of tax for families whose children are studying in self financing institutions
may lead to mushrooming of such kind of establishments. This may even destroy the
government institutions. So, I think, such type of tax exclusions is unhealthy.
In a democratic country people have enough freedom to choose the type of education
required for their children. However, in my view, the state should have the right to collect
education tax equally from all citizens.
