    INTRODUCTION

    ELCBS is simple device which is sensing the


    current at the Phase and the Neutral both if
    there is any difference in phase current and
    neutral current then it is the earth leakage
    current which is not returning through neutral
    path . This difference of current is triggering the
    circuit breakers tripping circuit to isolate the
    electrical circuit from the source. Thereby
    preventing the accidents caused due to the
    electrical shock thus making the circuit more
    energy efficient and safe.

    PURPOSE
    In case of passing 60 mili amp current through the cardio
    vascular system of human body causes to failure of
    electrical pulse mode of functioning of heart and leading to
    fatal accident
    In an electrical distribution system, the electrical path is
    basically from phase to neutral through the load. If the
    electricity passes through human body to earth causes
    electrocution because neutral is solidly connected to the
    earth.
    So to isolate the electrical circuit from the source
    using earth leakage circuit breaker system is most
    essential to prevent electrocution.
