    The sphinx interacted with Oedipus who solved her
    own riddle and then killed herself

    THE MYTH
    First, in the town Thebes ,an oracle warned king Laius
    about losing his throne to his son.
    Then years later the son know as Oedipus unknowingly
    killed his father king Laius. Then Hera sent the sphinx to
    kill whoever cant solve her riddles.
    Finally after many deaths Oedipus confronted the sphinx
    and solver her riddle. She the killed herself
