U of A Department of Pharmacology at Universitys College of Medicine,


Tucson location- Summer Intern
Assisted with conducting pharmacology research
Have insight regarding the development of pharmaceuticals with regards to animal testing.
Trained with handling both mice and rats, am able to conduct behavior tests with them regarding
thermal hypersensitivity through the use of the Plantar Test, mechanical sensitivity through the use
of the Von Frey test, and motor coordination through the use of the Rotarod Test.
Skilled with loading and prepping syringes, am able to conduct both intraperitoneal and
subcutaneous injections on test rodents.
Familiar with cancer related neuropathic pain models.

International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) - Club member.

Comfortable working in an advanced lab setting, operating different pieces of laboratory


equipment such as fume hoods and centrifuges, and have completed lab safety training.
Capable and proficient with the handling of a micropipette.
