Thursday, May 21, the FP will be having its annual CDS FP Sports Day!

This is an all-day event. Please understand that Sports Day is for students only (not families); many photos will be taken for parents
to view and enjoy on the school website.

The central ideas of the FP Sports Day are sportsmanship and physical activity. We want the students to come away from this
event feeling proud of the sportsmanship that they displayed throughout the day. Also, we expect them to be tired after trying their
best during a great day of physical activity!

Grades PK-4 are all participating in a variety of activities during Sports Day; however, only Grades 2, 3 and 4 students will be using
the swimming pool. Grades PK, K, and 1 will be participating in other games during this time. Please note that all Grade2, 3 and 4
students will be closely monitored by teachers/administrators, and students will wear life jackets or flotation devices, provided by
the school.

Expectations - what to wear and bring:

1.

For the pool:

a. Grades2, 3 and 4 students must have a bathing suit and towel. If the student wants to wear swimming shorts and
or a shirt over the swimsuit, that is fine. If the student has goggles and a swimming cap, this is also fine to wear,
but not mandatory.

For all other sports activities

a. For tops, all students should wear the CDS polo shirt. This can be long sleeve or short sleeve whichever you
prefer.
b. For bottoms, all students should wear their CDS PE pants or CDS PE shorts - whichever you prefer.
c. All students must bring their CDS PE jacket. This way, the student can choose to wear the jacket depending on the
weather (if the student does not own the CDS PE jacket, please bring the CDS hoodie).
d. Students should wear sunscreen and bring a hat.
e. Students should bring a water-bottle.
